Shipyard Plantation – Shipyard Plantation is the smallest resort on the Island , yet offers great options for the vacationer in a more reclusive setting. Shipyard offers access to some of the most beautiful beachline on Hilton Head, while the interior of the plantation is surrounded by trees draped in Spanish moss as well as panoramic golf and lagoon views. Among the live oaks and pines, are many varieties of wildlife including snowy egrets, blue herons, turtles, and alligator to include a few.
Golfing – The former home of the Hilton Head Seniors International, Shipyard Golf Club offers 27-holes of championship level golfing in a beautiful natural setting.
Tennis – The Shipyard Tennis Center (Van Der Meer) was named as one of Tennis Magazine's top 50 US tennis resorts. The Resort offers 20 courts (13 Har-Tru & 7 Hard). Eight are lighted of which 3 are indoor/lighted. Instructional clinics are offered year-round.
Biking – Miles of scenic bike trails run throughout Shipyard, including easy access for beach riding via Shipyard Beach Club.
